I took my coop to the closest garage i could find in Nottingham last week to get a diagnostics done to find the cause of my injection light and poorly car. However, when i went to pick the car up the guy said he had no joy in reading the ECU?! He also said he took the car to his mates garage and he couldnt read it either? Something to do with the pin configuration? Does anyone know of a garage in/around Nottingham which will be able to diagnose the problem?! I dont want to be driving my coop around for no reason, thinking my best bet will be to go to a Fiat dealer?

Fiat will give ya a readout, but its gonna cost ya. Diagnostics usually cost between £25-£35 to read the problems. Fiat might charge nearer £50.

I would drive to you Nigel, but not sure if it is safe for me to do so?! The coop can be very jerky from a standstill, and when i tried using it last week it kept revving upto 3000rpm when the clutch was pressed in?! The day before the problems started i had a new alarm fitted, which has caused the bulbs on my heater dials to stop working. So am wondering of they have interfered with any other electronics either behind the dash or under the bonnet

Nick, if its revving to 3000rpm and you're not pressting the throttle, I'm about 90% confident you'll find the problem is a loose connection to the throttle position sensor (the cable is just pushed on with a spring) Mine has done this on a number of occations, it wont show up as a fault on diagnostic. Take off the cable to the TPS (in blue) and put a couple of bits of electrical tape on the flat side (you'll see when you take the connector off) to make the connector fit a bit tighter when you push it back on.

It is hard to understand how a cemetery can raise burial rates and blame it on the cost of living
