Didn't really answer his question there CC <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I've never seen a UK coop with indicators in the mirror, but I'm sure our Continental cousins have done so.

Coopless!

Now I have vented wings, I didn't want to drill holes in them and ruin them with side repeaters.

I know it's a legal requirement to have them, so was also thinking of putting them in the wing mirrors.

My plan, eventually, is to drill some small holes in the black strip that's at the back of the casing, put some orange LED's in it and get it wired up to the side repeater wires.

When I had an alarm fitted to the Coupe today, I had a quick word with the auto elecs' about the possiblilty of doing the above and they didn't seem to think it would be a problem, as long as there was enough room behind the mirror glass for the LED's and the wiring.

It's something I'll be looking into more if and when I get pulled by the police for not having side repeaters.

It would be a complete piece of cake to do, question is...would it look right? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

IMHO it would look wrong, not stupid, just wrong. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Not MURPLE as there is no such word I will stick with blue as the log book says. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
And it's nothing to do with not being into Italian cars as my last 7 cars have been Italian.
The Photoshop mock-up looks strange as it s white light not orange
The wing mirrors on the coupe look to have a black removable piece just the size for an indicator

I thought this would be cool however I bought a second hand to experiment with. it is far to small to work with and if it did work, it would never look any better than some leds stuck on the otherwise good looking wing mirrors.

If you're not using that second hand you could maybe sell it to GotaGreenOne <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I think potentially it could looks good.

However the mirrors of the coupe are gorgeous. You'd have to be mad to change them. So any design that incorporated an indicator would have to be identical to the original mirror design. Perhaps just the tips of the black part as the indicator.

i agree the wingmirrors on the coop are georgeous, incorperating the indicator into the arm part of the wing mirror would be better. A.. as this part always gets corroded and B.... you won't spoil the design shape of the mirrors. will try and mock up something and post asap!
