Just coming to the closing stages of fitting a 2871R 0.64 with tubular manifold and external wastegate to a forum members car.The external gate fitting is awkward to say the least but on the up side because the turbo is a T3 fitment the mods normally needed for optimal exhaust fitment is minimised so that a small tweak to the OE flange and a 50mm extension to the length of the front pipe and that is it.I'd expect the performance to outspool the GT28RS 0.64 I have due to primary pipes being a smaller diameter and likewise with the T3 ext gate there should be little restriction in gas flows at high revs.At the minute the bloody oil feed bolt that has been supplied is wrong and has thrown a spanner in the works but hopefully if I can find out what the thread is I'll try and get one made pronto. Finally a thanks to Johns for some vital info on wastegate setup, and I'll take some pics in the morning to let peeps have a gander

Just been in jays car it feels mental when on boost and the higher the revs go the harder it pulls, I’m quite certain it will be a proper beast once mapped, and the external waste gate can only improve the horsepower a TOTBVI contender for sure plus it sounds like a rally car, I have never been in a car with a external gate fitted before but the noise is awesome might have to fit one to my evo.

Once Jay gets his remap done as part of this stage of tune it will improve hsi set up. From there he will have to go forged to maximise his set up to be a true TOTB contender.
