Both of these are potential group buys, but which would you have ?
Pro's & Con's ?
I'm after a boost controller i just need pointing in the right direction.

Thanks
Richard

Being someone with a greddy and having seen an apexi on fergies car its all about how much you want to control. Pound for pound the apexi is better.

The apexi looks the mutts too (but not as nice as mine ) The greddy is supposed to be a good controller but it's a bit to look at.

Coopless!

Yeah the Apexi looks nice, but the Greddy i'd be able to mount in my ash tray hidden out the way.
I want it for when i get another turbo (gtir or superspool) & want to be able to control hi/low boost, be able to adjust how hard the boost comes on (thats not a technical term i know) also some kind of safety system would be nice.
Most of all it needs to be reliable, don't want one thats nothing but hassle.
I was going for the Apexi but i've heard of a few problems which has put me off slighty.

All i can say is apexi has gone bust due to the early chip faults on the avcr,s.In no doubt the apexi is the nuts but its too complicated and that can spoil the fun.I have the apexi and it controls 1st gear and second gear traction very well by altering the boost to maximise grip. You can also alter how fast the boost cuts in and at 500rpm intervals.Very impressive but if the unit goes wrong apexi now doesnt exist so it may be a problem.Theres Greddy and Blitz also.I think for the person who wants a controller, set it and thats it then go for the greddy. If you like to fiddle and try to get perfection in all gears then the Apexi is for you.

You read my mind Richard, was about to start a simliar post myself!

As far as i can see the Greddy is a simple boost controller, but the Apexi/Blitz do a hell of alot more, and monitor/report on alot more, and are possibly quite complex if you really get into the set up of them.

I assume that these are all good bits of kit, it just depends what extent you want to 'play' with stuff.

I want the Apexi or Blitz, but think the greddy will suit me more.

Be good to hear more comments and opinions.

IMHO, the Apexi or Blitz is the way to go. If you want to get a unit get the best or you will be wondering all your life how the Apexi/Blitz controls the boost on each gear.
