I installed my HID's today and shivered at the site of the sidelights in comparison...I purchased some Prism 4xLED bulbs from Halfords for £9.99 and the look is soooo much better...pics below.

Thanks to nrenz123 for the advice on the bulbs!

HID's + 1 LED bulb + 1 Original bulb

HID's + Full Beam + 1 LED bulb + 1 Original bulb
http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r202/timcoupe/OldLight_Beam.jpg

HID's + Full Beam + 2 LED bulb
http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r202/timcoupe/NewLight_Beam.jpg

HID's + 2 LED - looks absolutely mint in the real world!
http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r202/timcoupe/NewLight_NoBeamMean.jpg

LED Bulb packet - these aren't with the regular bulbs in halfords but in the tuning / bling section. Note, make sure you get the 4xLED version, NOT the 1xLED version

.. you won't be dissapointed!

And you'll see what I mean about them not glaring. No idea why they are not road legal, possibly if they were behind a 'clear' lens, not a patterned one like ours.

nope... I replaced the dipped beams with them and didn't notice any difference - good job they were on buy 1 get 1 free smile

I just stuck them in the full beam when I put my HID's on and again, I don't notice any real difference over the standard bulbs. I was very dissapointed TBH.

Still, with the HID's I've only used my main beam once and I do a lot of driving on country roads where there are no street lights...they really are a world apart from standard.
