New exhaust system - possible Group Buy ? #28945

No, not a "which exhaust" thread, we've got enough of them !!

With the impending Group Buy of the 28R, is it correct to say one of the stumbling blocks seems to be the adaptor for fitting the downpipe ? Like the FMIC Group Buy led to the induction pipe Group Buy, I bet some (i.e me ) are thinking of offsetting the cost of a new exhaust system, or downpipe at least, by not having to buy the adaptor.

Basically, if someone fancies setting up a Blueflame (as this seems to be the best price for a total system including race cat) Group Buy for their turbo-back system, feel free.

Yes, I know it's cheeky to try to get someone to volunteer and I promise if I was in the UK I would get more involved, but it would be interesting to see if my theory is right

PS if I'm talking ballcocks about what's involved, let me know. Everything i know about both the turbo and exhaust is from words only, never seen how it all bolts together.

From the tumbleweed and the distant ringing of the town's bell that can be heard quite clearly from miles away due to the deafening silence, I'm interpeting this answer as a firm "No". Oh well, just have to pay retail I suppose

I think everyone is still reeling from the last time we tried to setup a group buy with Blueflame.

They seem to work to the Fccuk off customer service charter.

Im trying to set it up with ATP so you dont need a new exhaust system or adapter and that everything is in the box and if anything worst comes to worse, you just bolt an adapter onto the turbine housing which WILL be in the kit

Blueflame are good products but i need to go back as im getting oxidation on my catback and i was the underbody every now and again with a hose to help prevent dirt buildup...

Cosmo - ah that must have been before my time. What happened ?

KP - even if it's cheap, surely there'll be some cost attached. Looking at their website, they have car-specific packages (as I'm sure you're aware) and thought the adaptor would just be a tick-or-not option.

True, but if you work the prices out as i posted up in the thread its an utter bargain i think.

Not disputing that in the slightest KP, more trying to justify to myself spending 500+ quid on a new exhaust system !!

Good work with the Roller Bearing Turbo order, as you know I'm 100% in for this.
