Yep. That was me on my way to work.

I Drive on Toller Lane most days dodging appalling driving by locals in Audis, Golfs, Audis, Golfs, Audis... and suddenly there was an ink black coop coming towards me. Cheered me up no end! Good to see you.

In fact, yours is the first 20vt I've seen since getting mine in September!

I was also shocked!!

I do the Toller dodgems everyday, Oakworth to BD1, surprised I've not spoken you before!

You're the first I've seen moving for ages, I've had mine 5.5 years and see maybe 1 other a year!

First time for ages that I have seen a Coupe whilst I've been in mine - just seen a silver 20VT S***UEL in South Elmsall. Looked good!

Apologies in advance for posting off topic, but figured anyone posting here will be able to help me.

Just moved into the huddersfield area and am wondering whether anyone can recommend local garages. Alfatech in Huddersfield seems to get some reasonable reviews on the alfa forums and, when I spoke to them, seemed to be happy working on a coupe. Turin motors in Leeds seems to have mixed reviews.

I need the auxiliary belts replaced (one is perished and it will be just my luck for it to go and take out the cambelt)

all the best richard

hi, it's richard with the porto n/a and the small kids....sorry i didn't get to the scottish italian car meet at the w/e..sounds like it was better than last year.

The car is in cumbria at the moment (tucked up in the garage as it isn't a daily drive at the moment) but I am working down in west yorkshire in the week and moving down for good in the summer.

I got it serviced at motormech in the autumn and they flagged the aux belt. Happy to go back there (or to Midland Car Services which is even closer) for bigger jobs, but both involve taking a day off.

If there was somewhere local that was ok, I can bring it on my weekly commute down (avoiding the temptation to take the fantastic empty A/B road route down through the Penines that really deserves to be taken with some energy) and start to build a relationship with somewhere local if pos for smaller jobs.

Yes Rich I recognised you, hope you and family are all well and looking forward to the move smile

With luck one of the Yorkshire locals will come up with a trusty garage - thing is, the speed with which MCS or MotorMech do the job (therefore saving labour), would that save you in the long run?

Hi, and welcome to God's Own County Richard!

Turin Motors both I and my friend (GTV) have used previously for smaller jobs, but I will always take the day off to go down to JBT @ Midlands for anything bigger than swapping some parts!

Honestly, when I went to get my belts changed, it was faster in total to drive down to JBT, get him to replace them and driving back up than it would have been to just have someone fiddling about without any knowledge!

If you ever see a Porto N/A with a sad looking scrape down passenger side rear wing, that's me. great' hit and run in the night - don't park yours on a street if you are ever in Leeds! frown

ta...i've got a porto n/a as well, but will avoid parking too close to you at a meet in case the scrape is catching....though my newish alfa has a dented wing from a hit and run

Saw a silver one parked in Ackworth late morning today, I didn't see which variety as I turned off before passing it but haven't seen one so close to home for a while - apart from mine!
