With stories of rusty Coupes appearing, I'm wondering what I can do to my Coupe to stop it getting rusty ?

Waxoyl, steam clean & underseal ?

I intend to keep if indefinitely.....suggestions welcome

Mike if its any help, I found the bottom of the wings seem to rust, where the join the bottom of the body work, also where the rear sub frame joins the body can start to rust. Not sure what is best to use, suppose how bad the rust is. G \:\)

Seems a good plan.

I get mine up on a 4 post lift every spring and hand wash all of the salt & crap off the underneath.

This year I also plan to re-apply the "stone-chip" underneath, (I wouldn't use underseal).
Waxoyl all of the cavities underneath, including removing the wheel arch liners and also waxoyl the inside of all of the panels.

Should help it last a good few years.

Dinitrol (find it at rust.co.uk which also has a whole pile of info on how to prevent rust and keep your car pristine.

They supply the MOD and you don't see many rusty chieftain tanks do you? \:D

I use Dinitrol on all my cars and it does work wonders.
