as there is interest and requests for pictures on other threads ive made this thread.

our exhaust is a grade 304 stainless steel system, 2.25" diameter, straight through system, with a 3" exit, either slash cut or straight rolled.

it is custom made to each car, and is guaranteed for 10 years against rust and corrosion.

304 stainless steel should not rust, just discolour.

there is no need for a yearly checkover - we know it wont rust and will probably outlast the car.

prices are:

£220 for cat-back system slash/straight tail.

£50 extra for stainless steel de-cat pipe, interchangeable at MOT time.

£60 for an extra silencer - for those who like it quiet.

20v NA owners are advised to have a 2 box system.

my car is a demo of this system, should anybody wish to hear one, i have a decat so it is loud, but with the CAT in palce it is subtle, ive had no complaints of it being too loud.

i will take a pic of the underneath of the next one we do.

the decat is just a straight pipe with no silencing, flanged at one end.

is it ok to use a decat and second silencer on a 20vt?,or would this defeat the object.and would you lose power through having the second silencer

you wouldnt lose any power as the boxes are still straight through, they just have silencing around them unlike OE backboxes which are internally baffled and not direct.

the 2nd box is just for less noise.

strike4A - i am trying to arrange a price now, expecting it to be in the region of £40, but not sure if we can do it yet until i get mine converted over. ill let you know when i do mine next week.

Am i correct in thinking that as you custom fit/make the exhaust to each car you wont be able to send them?

Looks great. I'm booked in to get mine fitted tomorrow, and that slash cut looks just what I'm after.

Oh no - it means you'll be taking pictures of my underside. Think I'll give it a clean first

yep.

it will be like my car, but slightly quieter. (come hear it if you like)

to be honest though, it still wont be as quiet as a single box system with the CAT. if you want a quiet system with decat then your best going for the supersprint decat pipe, which has a surrounding silencer, although mild steel.

I've posted this before, but here's a movie of the powerfiat exhaust with decat: loud exhaust!

It sounded ace, but I couldn't get used to the noise and I think my neighbours didn't really like it either when starting it up in the morning. I now have the cat fitted again and it's much quieter and still sounds good when you want it though

However, on some days I do miss that brutal noise. I might put the decat pipe back on in the spring

If the bore is only 2.25" i wouldn't consider this an exhaust to get if your wanting complete power out of a car more just to make the car sound better and have a better looking rear. If your wanting more power you will be wating either a 2.5" or 3"

Yip its more a longlasting replacement for the standard exhaust, rather than increase in power, (although you will get more power if you fit the decat as well).

Thanks I know it will be too loud for a lot of people (with the decat fitted), especially if used as your daily driver. If mine were a weekend only / fun car then I wouldn't hesitate to but it back on

This might be a daft question but can the slash cut be rolled to give a thicker edge?

fair comment begbie.

this isnt really aimed at the 300bhp + boys.

however on a side note - i ran a 3" system and this system on my car, the power diff was minimal, although with the 3" it did feel more responsive on the road.

and i made 304 bhp with this system and the cat in place, with headwork though.

marky - any coop can have it fitted.
