What really gets my goat is people placing damaged cat c repairables on fleabay saying that they have brought a project and had to give up because of bla...bla...bla... I quote: "This car has a genuine 64000 miles with a previous lady owner, unfortunately it was involved in a fender bender, i searched long and hard to find a good example of this vehicle but unfortunately i have to sell it as an unfinished project due to personal reasons". Really... and: "This is easily a £4000 car in its prime condition (Please dont confuse this with the rubbish or the high millage and less spec versions)". What ! S reg and its got 64k on the clocks and a fucck front end and you expect to get 2.250k even with the spares included to repair it...I don't think so. There is at the moment over twenty good solid very road worthy coups on gigglbay that will sell for the same money if not less, and yellow nanas at the moment are finishing for well under 2k. So why oh why don't these sellers realise that just because it was well looked after before its accident, (that's the period of time that the original owner loved and cherish it doing things like checking the oil and the like) it doesn't mean that it's still worth nearly the book value even with the front end stoved in! It makes me mad, Rant over!

Anyone who DIY's salvage is a bit stupid to be honest. People straightening cars on there drive is what gives bumped cars the bad name and stigma. I see no logic in it, i make a few quids picking out nice repairables from time to time and ebaying them, but my god the amount of idiots is wild! They love anything "bolt on" and the money they pay is stupid, but i carnt complain, its an auction sight afterall.

There was an excellent one on ebay a few months back with a squashed back end. The suggestion in the ad was that you could pull the buckled back end out by using a tree and some rope and then drive the car until it was straight

Mind you, he tricked you lot in the for sale section, all those LOW MILEAGE parts eh!

Slightly off topic as this is damaged repaired - I found this http://www.club-coupe-fiat-france.com/forumprincipal/viewforum.php?f=23 you then go to cherchez T20+ ou T20EL That leads you to a chap selling a chrono LE that has been in a serious accident that he has restored to a very high standard, the pics look really good and he has allegedly spent 3000 Euros on a respray as well as replacing all bits and pieces with genuine Fiat parts. Appreciate that this is still an accident repaired example but this guy appears to have done it properly and is an enthusiast. He is 40+ and just like us 'loves the damn things! Looking for 9500 Euros (£6700) and it has covered around 140,000 km (85,000 miles) So for all you members with holiday homes in France ....

Using bable fish it only says about the original person being a pain and the tread was locked.

Using bable fish it only says about the original person being a pain and the tread was locked. The thread was locked because the original poster who was looking for a coupe was a guest (invité) with a habit of spamming forums. The LE was not repaired after a serious accident but he did spend a lot of money on it bringing it up to how it should be. It was the owner who was repaired after having had a serious motor bike accident. Pete

The bit about his bike crash was pretty well hidden in the scanned text of his advert.
Yes,It does look really good even though that colour is not one of my favorites.
