North Wales Coopsters - what's your plans ? Are you meeting up with us Nwest guys at some stage If so where This is KP's revised convoy plan Just to re-iterate Quote: Well as me and Mrs Pleb will be heading over from Donny im quite prepared to do a small gathering in south yorks then another one in the northwest on our way to the lakes.
For the south yorks meet point im suggesting Ferry Bridge Services
And the lot heading up from the northwest meet here(so we can catch any welshies as well!)Poplar 2000 Services And then upto Charnock Richard Services
If we are to meet at Whoop Hall for 12 or somewhere else nearby then the times would be 9.15am for Ferry Bridge 10.15am for Poplar 2000 10.45am for Charnock Richard
Ok now ive looked into it more and what Ive done is amend the times. The times above are so that you are AT the meet point and ready to go at that time. So take it that you should be there about 20mins before hand to get fuelled, and all your gubbins sorted.
People at haydock island will be sorted out with MABR i think it is thats organising that section and ill be ringing the ring leader ( ;\) ) whe im a few mins away so you can all get moving onto the motorway and we can catch up to you.
After Charnock richard if i blast off into the distance DO NOT BE WORRIED!!
Im merely zipping ahead so i can get some photos of the convoy and maybe a movie of it if i can get it right
All the best, KP
Times amended a little to make sure we have enough time incase of traffic and the like I mean do we have to wait for you anywhere

Many thanx to Nigel for his help under the hood. 100% increase in throttle response equals 1 happy bunny and 1 nagging missus. Totally transformed the car. From 41 to 83 - the look on your face was priceless! Excellent day and a lot of ideas to think about. Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome - good to be able to put faces to names and names to pseudonyms!

Panic - great to hear its going well.
Just so you know, I think you now hold the record the for slackest ever throttle cable.
basically, we've about doubled your throttle opening - I reckon you've probably got 50 - 70bhp more
For those that didn't see - the 20VT throttle should read 84 degrees at max opening. usually, anything above 80 is OK.
Panic had 41 degrees!
Apologies to Mrs Panic, and also apologies to Panic's credit card, 'cos your fuel bills will undoubtedly rise.
Great day out - 360 mile round trip for me, but I've done it on a single tank of V-Power - just a little under 30mpg average - really not bad for the type of driving (held the car at just-under-a-ban speeds for most of the way home)
As Coupe meets go, this was certainly one of the best, and apart from the weather, the roads, the scenery and the company, an awful lot has to be said for the organisation - well done to everyone that put time and effort into this.

Sure feels like it Nigel. Pulls like a train now and seems to hold boost better towards the red line. only time will tell on the fuel and tyres but there is always a negative to every positive with a coupe and some just have to be accepted. may get a rough idea of power increase by using my little ge-tech gismo if i can find it.

Hi Coupers, The Master of Bling has had a great day. Names/faces/driving/good food/fantastic weather/incredible scenery. So much was due to the efforts of the organisers. We that attended can't say how much we appreciate the hard work that went into a great day. On a personal level: the overwhelmingly positive response to the work I've had done to my 20v makes the misery of broken promises by the garage, needless expense and self doubt (why did I ever start this bloody project?) makes the whole thing worthwhile and encourages me to instigate my next project, namely, a full-house 20vt in fluorescent pink with anti-macassars on the seats, lace curtains by Laura Ashley and faux georgian panelling throughout. Well, perhaps not, eh? Better drop the curtains. Great day. Thanks everyone!

Well i`ve been home for a couple of hours now,I decided to head back home instead of going to the room i had booked at the Travelodge where Ross (h2pyr) and Alaina were also staying at as the route we had took was in the direction of home. I didn`t see the point in back-tracking to stay the night away when my own cosy bed was just a few more miles up the road . Anyway what an excellent day it was ,I must say you couldn`t hope to meet a more nicer bunch of fellows and lassies . All the coops were looking great and day past without too many incidents (did cowboy get his wheel stud problem sorted out? He was still working at it when i left ). Nice to see some familiar faces again and meet some new ones too. Hopefully this meet will become a kind of regular thing and we`ll be able to increase the coop count even further . Baz

Yep it was a great meet, weather was perfect for a drive in the hills Special thanks to redline for the motorcycle escort keeping everyone on track, and Pag for the name badges. Very useful for stopping all those "and who are you on the forum" chats

Go on BlingMaster do it! I expect to see your new creation in all of it's glory at the next meet. Had a great day, particularly nice to put names to faces and I thought the name badges worked very well, (must admit the wife was taking the pi$$ when I said I was doing them, but what does she know!). Weather, scenery and roads were all excellent, and the convoy of coupes looked great coming through the lakes and drew lots of admiring looks as we did the lap of the the Glebe in Bowness. How quickly did everyone get off the gas when we saw some of stan's colleague's in the Volvo when we were on the dual carriageway stretch? Pub and food were spot on, so thanks to flyingcustard for sorting that out and again thanks to Redline for helping to guide us round and for mopping up the stragglers. Just wish I was sitting in Whoop Hall now, relaxing with a nice pint - never mind I hope all the people stopping over are having a good night. So a big well done to Ross & when are you organising the next meet?

Yes a great day out indeed! Convoy looked awsome, even the smaller one we ended up leading after we got split up going into Bowness! Managed to find The pub ok even if we did turn left instead of right when back on A66 This SHOULD be a regular event!!! Peter.

Well, with swollen tongue, i still had a chat with a few people. Turnout was better then i expected [ been to various car meets and half never turn up! ]. Weather was just perfect. Coupes were all superb, but i noticed my exhaust is blowing its head off so in need of an upgrade [ this is the beginning of upgrades ! ]. I think perhaps the next meet around July/August again will be fine by me. Andy.
