I've tried various bulbs, and they are all rubbish...
Put the money towards some HID's, you'll get a far better return for your money.. I absolutely echo the above statement

This comes up pretty often..!
The only way you'll get a decent improvement in the coupe lights on standard bulbs is to fit 100W halogens. They run hot but don't melt anything. Improvement is very good. However they are illegal for road use.
HID's are emphatically the way to go but not in the main beams..they don't work well..no focus.
I've got HID's in the dipped and most times don't need the main beam. Coupled with 100W mains my coupes lights are now excellent, far better than the original glimmer things.

Again, go for some HID's. I put so-called improved bulbs in my last car and they were marginally better, but not worth the cash you pay. If you need any sort of excuse to buy them, just remember most HID's come with a very very long guarantee and it is unlikely that you will ever need to change them.

The only think you might have to do with HID's is get the lights adjusted afterwards..there is a difference in the beam shape/spread. I say might. (Leave the can of worms in cupboard and the tin opener in the drawer).

Paid £98 all in for my HID's and transferred the same set between three different cars. They never let me down and didn't burn my headlight motors out.
I think you'll find that you don't really have to adjust the headlights afterwards, you just need to bear in mind oncoming traffic when you are taking a sharp left hand bend due to the coop's beam pattern. I just dropped the motors to position 1 on bumpy, windy back roads.
