Get it into a specialist to diagnose the problems then decide, could be simple things.

problem is, is that there not worth buttons at th moment! im gonna try and keep mine for another year based on the resale value. turn 25 this year so insurance should drop a bit. very frustating when you put so much time effort and love into a car that others just dont get? you end up having to really sell it imho. just too many myths surounding the coop, in terms of buyers anyway.

my coop does my head in the bonnet is up nearly every weekend (niggle thing burst pipe etc) and it was doing my nut in

so i was on my way to pick up a supra yesterday and i was going to sell the coop. a little blast on the back roads.
Ended turning around and managed to talk the lady into spending 3k on the engine insted

Nah still love my coop but one snapped bolt that holds the rear ARB is going to cost me aprox 500quid in parts and labour some twat in the past had bodged the bolt in, my mechanic saw it during service and had a look and it was bent and snapped off, 2 carbide drill bits later and some easy out tool plus god knows how much labour he hasn't charged me for and I need new rear trailing arms plus bolts etc, as they have updated them and changed the camber. Oh and to add insult to injury bird crap has eaten through and lifted the lacquer in 3 places on the bonnet whilst i was away in 5 days, really wish i could shoot the bloody seagulls, well that feels better good rant

and now my new pads have decided to squeel again and they are touching on soft right turns! they were fine yesterday and for the 2 weeks they have been fitted!!

can of petrol and a match anyone??

Same with all cars. Unlikely to make a profit or break even unless you buy dirt cheap or its basically a classic...

My insurance is about £300 a year these days and the car is a garaged weekend toy so its practical to keep. Could never use it as a daily driver with the cost of petrol these days~!

I have put 50,000 miles on my coop using it for work every day, and I just about to do tyres and breaks for the MOT this month. It has never missed a beat, and big thanks to Keigh at Auto Integrale for obviously servicing it so well

Nothing has ever gone wrong with my 20vt, although I have just bought a daily drive now, as I have to cut some cloth, and already saving £40 per week in fuel, but very boring dive in and out of work

Oh dear,it would appear that there are still little boys out there that think he who comes quickest is a winner! I may be slower to reach the finish line but I can enjoy the journey and give myself a bit of self gratification that my bits wont fall off as im getting there!
