The accelerator pedal is as per Fiat standard that was put on all coupes I believe.

The LE brochure shows the same pedal as per the Sparco, however not sure it was fitted to RHD coupes \:\(

Are you looking for more DIY mechanic tasks that you can fail miserably at today? \:P

You don't really need one to be honest.

Take the pedal rubber bit off.
Place the Sparco one centrally over the pedal and mark the holes, where you want the Sparco one to be.
Drill the holes.
Put the Sparco one on, put the bolts through and tighten up.

That's about it really, from what I can remember \:\)

Thanks Theresa - think I'll have to get the ruler our as well as they have to be a certain distance apart as well for MOT reasons - 50mm?

Lets see if I can complete one job today \:D

If you get them all pretty central, you should be okay.
There's loads of space between the pedals on Coupes, even with Sparco ones on \:\)

By the way, I didn't bother with the accelerator one, as it's already metal and with it being more curved, I wasn't sure how well the Sparco one would fit, so left it alone \:D

I fitted Sparco ones and agree with Theresa about the acelerator pedal. It looked a mere to fit as the standard item has lots of metal and a bump stop, so getting the right placement for drilling holes is crucial.

I think the UK LE's came without the accelerator fitted, as you can't space it far enough from the other peddles for the gap to be legal. The packaging states that they are only for show use, and I'm pretty sure that fitting the peddles too close together is an MOT failure?

I`m pretty sure i couldn`t get one of the pedals central(clutch i think \:\? ) due to the welds on the back of the original pedal so i had to drill it off-center to the left which helped with the spacing. I just left mine with the original accelerator pedal too as there is no way the Sparco pedal would bolt on to it securely.

UK LE's just have the standard metal pedal that all the coupes come with.

Got them from here and this is what came:

Sparco Pedal Set 1

Sparco Pedal Set 2

I think this is the new version of the 'Reflex' Sparco pedal set.. difference is only in the accelerator..

Not fitted yet \:\(

I would prefer the accelerator pedal with the notch on the left.

brake & accelerator pedal are a little closer to each other and that makes it easier to change gears rally style.

Don't know how this technique calls in english but we call it 'talon-pointe' in french

Not sure i'd want a metal brake pedal, imagine going to brake with a wet shoe and it slipping off under (or even on) the accelerator! \:o

My car has metal pedals, and I have to remember to dry my feet on the matt before setting off, otherwise they slide off. Mainly just the clutch pedal, but still I have to be careful.
