Would be good for coupe, IF it was direct replacement, i.e no gay vents, they dont suit the coupe. Fine for EVO etc.

Fine for EVO etc. Vents Gay you say?Eh no,not at all.Actually very benificial.Heat escape/disipation. Well its perfect for my new monster.I need all the venting/cold air feed/heat escape that I can get as Im gonna be running a monster spec engine,so these vents will aid flow from both rad and big turbo. Underside view of the carbon bonnet(lightweight F.R.P frame with the carbon layed over it). Also my one off/custom made/thermoformed bronze polycarbonate windows. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/alfa147turbo/IMG_0288.jpghttp://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/alfa147turbo/IMG_0297.jpgLads,there are carbon bonnets out there for the Coupe,I saw 2 carbon bonnets on 2 trackday Fiat Coupes in Japan. So they are out there, somewhere.Just gotta find them

you really are trying to lose weight arnt you? Yep,sure am.The car will be hopefully sub 900 kilos. Im traveling over to the UK on the car ferry on Sunday night to collect a set of carbon fibre wings that I had made for the car. Will post pics when I get them and get back to Ireland. Im also either gonna throw out the dashboard or else have one made in carbon fibre as the oem dash is actually quite heavy.

I'm not 100% sure on vents etc as I'd need to spend time in a wind tunnel to ensure I wasnt messing with the drag etc. 900kg, whatever car that is very light!

The car just got a lot lighter,as of this evening.Just back off the Stena HSS fast ferry from the UK with the carbon wings I had custom made for the car.Drove through the night in the pi55ing rain accross Wales and the UK for these wings.Pain in the arse but worth it in the long run. Standard metal wing is 7 kilos. Carbon wing is a mere 0.8 of a kilo.Thats over 12 kilos saved just like that. Pics of metal wings I sent over to have moulds made, pics of the moulds and pics of the final product,3 layer pre preg carbon fibre wing.Im very happy with these babies.I have some interesting and shocking pics to show you of the car next weekend.I may even start a new thread to show them Anyway the pics. Master mould and metal wing in backround. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/alfa147turbo/IMG_0316.jpgClose up of carbon wing. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/alfa147turbo/IMG_0313.jpgOverall view of carbon wing.I might just boot polish these and leave them unpainted as I love the look of the carbon weave. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/alfa147turbo/IMG_0315.jpg

Very nice (race car not the road one) - I'd be so scared of bumping it on track with all that expensive carbon. It must really fly, what power to weight are you pushing?

900 kilo (sub 900 kilo car hopefully) with just on 550 bhp and 450 pounds feet torque.
The car is there to be raced and hammered around tracks, and by god thats whats Im gonna do with it.I didnt have this car built just to sit and look pretty. Its gonna be used, big time.

unless it has been converted, surely an ex 147 Cup car would have to be FWD?

Maybe, maybe not.You will just have to wait and see. Its gonna be very very special and unique. It could still be FWD,but then again it could also be RWD or even 4WD.

GP bodywork designers/makers in the UK.It took over 3 months to have them made up.I sent them 2 new metal wings as test wings to make the moulds.I was going mad waiting 3 months, byt it was very well worth the wait. Cost of the carbon wings and moulds was 2150 pounds sterling. But I own the moulds now. Overall view of carbon fibre front wing. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/alfa147turbo/IMG_0312.jpg
