Anyone know a good company to use for a detailed up to date HPI check? that also not at a silly price, although happy to pay more if you get extra information?

I used VIC from this official list. £9.95 per check

Thanks, does that give you a list of all the previous owners? The guy selling it tells me he has owned the same car twice, sold it to a friend and bought it back from them, want to check this as surely a good sign.

No only paying DVLA a fee will show that, and i think the service has now stopped.

All done above board or so I am told, good to check if I can. It appears this service has now been stopped some data protection laws, how silly!!, however he has told me the approx dates of the two times he has owned the car, does not tell me that much as he would know that either way, lol.

Oh well will have a good look around it, good price, 56K on the clock so pretty good mileage, only downside cloth and no air con, but it is speed red which is my favourite colour for the coupe

the AA Hpi check is pricey but comes with an insurance
element,it is also done in 2 stages,pre purchase(normal
registration details) and post purchase(confirming vin
number etc) Kevin

Speed Red, off to have another look tonight, only had a quick look (not heard seen engine yet), appears in good condition with clutch, cam, etc done fairly recently, lot of history. Only neg so far is owners, 5 of those (two of those the same person)

Have done HPI check, only thing to note is a plate change, will double check this, hopefully just a private plate going on
