You'd be amazed what a bit of spinach can do. Strangely though, it was a "discussion" with my other half that caused me to press the door lock button a bit too hard.

So you were having a "discussion" and you got fed up so opened her door and pushed her out then closed the door and tried to lock it quick before she got back in laugh

Been there laugh

No they were probably having a discussion and he's gone to hide in the car and was hurriedly trying to press the button to stop her getting in laugh

Have fixed two of these switches with epoxy putty..no tool box should be without it. Remove the console and refit the switches with a tiny drop of superglue to hold them in place. Make sure they work and don't snag on the console. Mix the putty till its like plasticene and put a lump on each end of the switch cluster. Wait 5 mins and the switches will never vanish into the console again..

blush, banged to rights.

Cheers Skodaman, that should help.

Quick question but would this be an MOT fail? The only reason I can think of is not being able to put on the heated rear screen (don't think the door lock button should matter)?

Guess what day I've just remembered it is tomorrow crazy

Good luck with the MOT I don't think the heated rear screen is an MOT requirement. smile
