Gaud, we'll get all the data in Excel and hopefully plot the "real" FCC AFR values @ 500 rev intervals graph V.

make sure you weld the boss 3ft from the turbo. 14.7 is stoich which you should see on idle and part throttle.
when you boot it you should be into the mid 11's (if you're running high boost).

On the back of the gauge what setting should i turn it to?
Been looking at the instructions would i have to turn it to P2 which says it is to be used with a smaller voltage range 1-2volts Its currently on P0 for voltage range of 0-5volts

leave it on the default setting (P0). I think the other one is for reading lambda as opposed to AFR.

Sounds VERY lean on boost.
What chip are you using?

Had a good read of the instructions and went out in the last hour and tryed it out on the P2 and P3 settings P2 was better and more accurate 1-2v range So then i turned it to P3( 0-1v wideband senor calibration) and what a difference Idle 14.7-15.0 Part throttle 14.9-15/16.0 Boost, spoolup 13.0, 12.0 11.1 then 11.6/7 by 4000rpm Only on boost a bit, but try it out more tomoorow but least its going over there as it should Just studying the instructions in front of me it appears the seeting i have it on is correct. More testing tomorrow

Sounds better. I'd get the wiring mod and new pump fitted asap though to be on the safe side. Mark

Benny - I don't think it's meant to run in 'sensor calibration' mode. If in AFR setting you're being told it's running lean on boost then i would pull the Gtec2 out and replace it with a Gtec1 to see if this makes a difference.
I think that if you continue to run it with the Gtec2 your engine will go the way of Suba's (when he just plugged in a Gtec2 and didn't get the fuelling checked). i.e. you WILL to melt a piston.
Don't say we didn't warn you.
Your part throttle is also still lean. You shouldn't be seeing 16's.

'P00'
Where is your sensor mounted? Is it far enough away from the turbo so it gets a good mixture of exhaust gases? IIRC they recommend 3ft.

So what is the issue with the Gtec2 regarding fuelling, does it run leaner than Gtec1?!
I thought it just had more ignition advance and was more aggresive or something requiring a FMIC and super unleaded?!

Benny - sounds like the sensors mounted in the perfect place. I would recommend you try the Gtec1 and see what readings you're getting from that.
My AEM matched the readings Perfect Touch were getting when my car was mapped.
Mark - i think every car is different therefore you just have to get it checked upon installation. FMIC and super unleaded just stop your car detting due to the advance in ignition.

This morning i changed the setting on the gauge back to P0 to read the Afr values And guess what.... Idle 14.7-15.0 1.2Bar 3k-5k 11.7-11.8 Not really sure what part throttle should be Didnt go to 6k then redline as i was runing out of road. After speaking to a few people today the default setting (P0) does a calibration.Apparently mine never, but putting it in P3 to callibrate it for a few miles and selecting either AFR or Lambda values it has callibrated itself and from certian people this is a rare problem but occasionaly happens Also been testing all today and all seems fine. and what AFR should i have for part throttle Ben

Around 14.7 on part throttle. It might run slightly leaner but its nuthing to worry about. What i wanna know is, when its cold does it tend to read lean on gear change after the re-application of throttle?

Part throttle around 14.7/15.2 It runs slighty learn after reapplying the throttle after chaging gear, like from 14.9=change=throttle=16.2 , thats only for about a second then back into the 14's When warmed up its fine between gearchanges, about the same, if possible slighty richer after re-applying the throttle 1Bar boost is richer, 2.5k 10.9afr, 3-5k 11.4afr, 6k 11.6afr Dont believe in taking it to the redline More updates&pics to come, Ben

Thats fine. Just wanted to check. Mines runs slightly leaner than that on change, when stone cold.
1 bar boost is gonna be richer. Your not using as much fuel as the higher setting, hence richer. You need to take it to redline to check the fuelling.
