Painting in the open is incredibly difficult due to dust and wind, etc, unless he is planning on putting a tent up and he will also need power to work and if we are going as far as generators and tents, it will really need to approved by the pub and I would be suprised if they agree to all that. Don't forget the pub is still open to the general public. I am not saying its impossible, but the pub will need to be told.
