Seen this on piston heads.

Looks pretty good, the blemishes are a corroded rear light surrond (which is no issue) and a slight mark that 'almost' polishes out on the front. The belts were changed at 43000 miles(not documented - part of a top end rebuild by previous owner) and more recently at 63000 as part of a full service which is fully documented.

All sounds good but i'm wanting to buy the car for the student brakeaway rally, obviously it'll be doing a lot of miles in a short period of time so was wondering what implications the rebuild will have (i heard its never the same afterwards)? Also, has anyone of here has owned this car in the past?

Thanks,

Owain

Paint flames on it then... Honestly I did staples to naples in 2004 and it was more fun in a banger than it would have been in exotica... plus the senny is RWD.

The sEnator is one the coolest cars ever made!

It is hard to understand how a cemetery can raise burial rates and blame it on the cost of living

Personally I wouldn't use the Coupe for a student rally, having done a similar thing in the past. I'm not saying the Coupe is unreliable, but there are more reliable cars out there!

How many people are going to be in this car for the rally, and do you have to sleep in the car/drive through the night?

There is going to be 2 of us in the car and we will average about 8 hours a day with no night driving (thankfully).

We dont have to sleep in the car either, its going to be hostels or campsites, the hight of luxury compared to the back seat of a coop

Ahhhh, thats no student rally! Thats a holiday. When I did mine we had to get to Africa within 48 hours. One Volvo 240 Estate later, a small mattress in the back and two drivers doing shifts 24 hours a day and we were there well within the time limit!

Just make sure you get a Coupe (if you do get one) with a very good service history. Double check every electrical connector, and the wire feeding into them.
