It may not be relevant to anybody here, but NU are doing a thing at the moment where if you buy a car from a participating dealer or from eBay and phone them for a quote they'll do 7 days free insurance for you.

My wife's using it for cover on her new car and they gave her a pretty quote as well (although not quite as good as Direct Line, who are always the best, by far, for her).

Anyway, seems like a bit of a bargain and worth mentioning.
