How to remove ashtray hatch #38089

I was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the flippinghatch or "door" to access the ashtray? I am planning on mounting my boost controller there and dont think i can do it with the door in place...Anyways doesnt cover that much down there...Anyone can help?

what about mountaining it where the top heaters are???
thats where im gonna put mine... have even designed a "mechanisum" to make it look like they are still heater until you press them then they move to the sides and the controller "pops" out not sure if it will work... but if it does will look the nuts!

HeHe:) I have mounted the screen in the dash strip next to the pininfarina logo to the left (not a UK model) but the controlleri want it inside there cause really have not much use for it its just one time setup and thats it basically

Got to take the whole centre console apart and be prepared to cut and cut some more.

Hmm i guess i will leave it open then...it doesnt look bad at all, i think in some way looks better than closed

I wanted to keep the functionally of being able to hide the apexi from neds / police if need be.

Also the look on passengers faces when I open the door and suggest changing to mode B

Its probably the silicon you are seeing paul that I used to stick the magnetic catch down. To make the Apexi fit I had to cut away the self closing mechanism
