I dont own an LE myself but I was wondering how many LE's from the original 200 are still around and who on the forum has which number, feel free to add any LE numbers over 200. (I have no interest in trainspotting by the way).

I have LE 046 T 253 LDX in red , my previous one was LE 092 which was chrono and now lives in Ireland (T 290 RGK) but now re registered I guess.
The one before that was also red T 260 LOP and lives in Herts I think but cannot remember the LE number.

I've got LE 30 and LE 65. Number 65 is off to a new home with another forum member very soon...

What exactly is the deal with the numbers? They made 1-200, then due to demand made more, but why such odd numbers eg 1471? Did they make 1500?

Its always baffled me, but i've never asked. Does anyone even know? or is it a coupe mystery

I think only 200-300 came into the UK. Total number must be around the 1500 mark. But due to the number written off I would say about 1/2 of that original number still exist.

I thought there would be less than that in total but the numbers would suguest that. I suppose worldwide thats not really a large number.

Quite scary how many get written off.

I always thought that site was update-able by individuals like the owners link on here. Must look more closely in future.

The highest number seen so far is 1499 which was in the isle of man so maybe that was the last one ! or is there is a 1500 somewhere.

The interesting stuff will come from Carl, if he has the details of all the ones he's chopped

so thats 31 le's. some of the above may have been chopped or wrapped around a lamppost.

I'd like to know how many other LEs there are in NI - There was a black one for sale in Belfast at the same time that I bought mine 3 years ago and a Red LE was sold to someone from the mainland.
