I'm driving a standard 16vt, therefore from what i can gather my boost should be less than 1 bar. I ask as Halfords have a 1 bar gauge for £25 which i quite fancy!
Otherwise the cheapest 1.5 bar gauge i have found on t'internet is over £40!

I also have no intention (or money) to vastly modify my coop!

i wouldn't. i'd splash out on a decent gauge. cannot imagine the halford's one being top quality. plus, what if there's a problem and you accidentally get more than 1 bar?

This one seems OK at £24 quid, fit it under the dials as per the air fuel gauge in the "how to guide"

Well i already have a gauge that shows up to 30PSI, but have decided i want one in BAR! Think i'm gonna splash out on a 1.5 BAR gauge rather than 2!

Think i may give this a go if i can get it with a black face.....

I guess the 1 bar boost gauge is a TIM one? well you can get better than that for £25 and 1 bar is not enough.

Just been looking at these gauges, how do you get negative boost? Kind of pushing air back out of the intercooler doesn't make sense, must be some technical thing?

No, all non-turbocharged cars run a vacuum, the cylinders are sucking in air when they are on an induction stroke, causing a vacuum. When you are not on boost, your coupe is running negative boost.

the one pinin posted is the same as my old one before i got my greddy, but mine was in psi, seemed pretty accurate compared to the boost controller.

i've still got mine if you wanted to buy it but you mentioned you wanted it measured in bar.

Please dont get a TIM gauge....utter, utter cheap crap, respond poorly, you can't read them easily, and you can tell it's budget just from holding one in your hand. You want to spend 40-60 quid at least IMO - if you're going on ebay then go for Autometer.
