I`m thinking of getting these to fit onto a pair of new wishbones and I was wondering if you get the whole bracket assembly or do you just get the bushes and nothing else? From what I can see on my old 16v coop there looks like a big washer welded onto the rear of the wishbone. I take it these will need to be removed with a grinder or something and then do the Barbz mod to keep it in place . The pics on the PowerFlex website look as though the washers are part of the bush and are complete units . Can anybody give me some more info on them? Baz

Bloody nightmare to fit. You have to burnout the old bushes with a blow torch then cut the end off with a hack saw, then removed the last part of the sleeve by cutting and bending. Then hammer one the new ones on the right way round, it take some real workmanship to fit these. I done them on mine but i wouldn't do another set too much hard work for me.

Cheers for the reply . The main thing I would like to know is are the new bushes complete with the outer metal brackets which bolt on to the subframe,or do you have re-use them after burning out the old bushes? Baz

No nightmare to fit. You do need a blowtoch and a grinder to remove the old bushes. Washers are not welded on there. Then press the new ones on Have a look here, pics are pretty self explaining. http://www.lanciahf.eu/powerflex_lancia_delta.html

It is if you only have a hammer and hacksaw.

Sure, no problem, in the meantime you can start learning some french The kit comes with 4 extra inner rings (ones on the right on first photo), depending on the size of the wishbones you need to choose the right ones. I believe for the coupé the biggest rings are used. cheers

Sure, no problem, in the meantime you can start learning some french I know enough to get by . The job looks straightforward enough but I don`t understand why,on the other threads concerning this mod that i`ve read Barbz does a mod with a bolt and washer to keep the arm from floating in the bush. Surely if they need pressed on then that would be enough to hold them in place,or is it just the new poly bushes are a wee bit slippery and don`t grip as much as the standard rubber? Baz

Barbz probably puts a washer and a bolt at the end but i've glued the little bushes in with loctite just to be sure. I don't think it's necessary tough. In my case you really needed to press the bushes on - a hammer woulden't do- so i'm sure they won't move.
By the way i've contacted barbz about buying 2 new polybushed wishbones, diden't get a decent response. then i've contacted him again about buying a remote filter head an external oil thermostat, no reply either.
So don't talk about barbz to me! sorry I guess he's to busy with the big projects

Baz, all that Barbz found was that on "his" coop, with the Porsche Brakes, when he REALLY slammed the anchors on, the actual wishbone began to move backwards a bit due to the forces involved, hence the bolt & washer, as the end of the day, it don't take much force to press the collars on ( well I did mine in my garage with a drill, knife & some wood blocks & a 4lb sledge hammer ) well fcukked me up the day after !

Ah well they`ll probably be fine on mine then as it`s just the standard Brembo`s stopping a near enough standard coop, but i`ll keep an eye on them just in-case . As for fitting them i`ve got a 10 ton press in my garage that should do them no probs . Baz

This might be a silly questions, but I have never removed the wishbones on a Coupe so I have to ask. The joint at the "point" of the wishbone (the hub end), can it be changed on it's own or would that require a whole new wishbone? By the way, what's the name of that joint/part?

the ball-joint is part of the wishbone & an integral item, if this goes, replace the bones.
