Hey there,
Im running a pace fmic at the moment but since joining here it seems that the pro alloy or the evo ones are better.

Can anyone shine some light as to how they are better and which one is better out of the two. Also where can i get one?
Elliot

The pace is worse because it is a dual pass, which means the air takes longer inside and increases turbo lag. Someone tested the chargetemps of the Pace and measred it at 43C. The Evo and Pro Alloy are both single pass designs which reduces the lag, and they both kick out about 30C charge temps. the evo I think is a tiny bit better at cooling but you have to source all the pipes for it separately. The pro alloy comes with everything needed to install.

i have an Evo 6 intercooler that may be up for sale in a week or so as i didn't get round to fitting it, and i may be selling my car so won't be fitting it! it also has been used on a 20vt and has lots of piping with it which may include all the piping you require but couldn't guarantee it.

Mark

Definatly check out the Evo forum, they usually sell between £100 for an older E6 to £180 for a low mile E9. That was where I sourced mine. There are a few for sale every week, but the tend to go fast!

Hope thats some help,

Al
