Can you increase the clearance between the standard 16 inch wheels and the 20vt brembo caliper using spacers, the increase will have to be around 20mm. What are the issues with doing this?

Si, looking back at the spacers GB, Kevcrab runs 20mm spacers, and mattB runs 15mm, so may be worth PMing them about any fitment problems . By the way, your PM inbox seems to be full again.... Phil

I run 20mm spacers. No probs but its the ones that actually bolt onto the hub then the wheels onto them.

I seem to remember reading that the 'perfect' spacers to use with the standard wheels was 10mm.

Phil Correction: mattB has some 15mm spacers in a cupboard in his house (there's a surprise eh? ). I only intend to use them on track with standard wheels. I run 17" wheels for everyday use.

Ross Ross, yours arent standard wheels so your offset will be totally different.

Jimbo - Looking at the car I think you're right mate, 20 mm will catch on the arches (as well as this I'm not confident about the load on the wheel bearings), so I may well have to go to 17 inch rims, which will give AP racing more room to work with on a braking kit as well. Looks like I may have to ditch the spare set of standard wheels along with the originals and run one set with track tyres all the time - should be OK as I dont drive the car everyday.

I have 20mm spacers for my 17" OZ Records, no problems with rubbing.
