Having a bit of a nightmare here trying to sort out insurance and was wondering whether anyone might be able to help??

To cut a long story short I'm an Australian/British dual citizen and up until Feb had held an Aussie license for 8 years, and had never made a claim. After swapping my license to a full UK one (a mandatory requirement if you live here for more than 12 months), it now appears as though insurance companies consider me to have only held a license for 6 months, and won't take into consideration any of my previous driver history - and all the quotes I have received have been well over a grand.

I was hoping to purchase a coupe in the next month or two but now I'm not so sure.

Does anyone know of any insurance companies that might be able to help with my problem??
