Grr god damn bin men!

driving to work today and a bin man walks out from behind the truck without looking.....and then calls me a twat

So how much to repair this

basically theres scuffing along the edge of the bonnet and some scratches to the bumper, some of which feel quite deep.

That'll polish out.
Else i would say about £200 for a corner respray.

I dont think the deeper scratchs will be i think the bonnet probably will...

Surely you can claim against the binman/council? I wouldnt have left the scence without him accepting responsibility.

He might not have been responsible . Bin lorries are generally big maffis things and have flashing lights and signs on saying "beware loaders in operation" or something like that

My aunt had her car damaged by binmnen and Luton Council fixed it without any quibbling.

I gotta write a letter to the council with a quote and see where it gets me.

No i didnt hit him but seriously if had started to run across the road there would be a bin man shape dent in my bonnet. He really didnt look at all the dumb ass!

Id definitely kick up a fuss if I was you. If it was his fault (which it sounds like) then they have to pay really.
But with it being the council, they'll probably try and make you pay compensation for the binman lol.
