Got this splatter/blob on my bonnet..its clear like some sort of glue..not too sure how it got there but tried polishing but that doesn't work..its quite thick..almost like i need to use a scalpel to chisel it out but i'm worried i might accidentally hit the paintwork. Looks horrid and really blemishes the looks of the car. Does anyone know how i can get it out?

I had little blobs of what looked like road paint on my bonnet, tried loads of things but it was my finger nail that safely removed it without scratching! could at least give it a go.

Coopless!

If petrol doesn't work, boil a kettle. Leave it to stand 3mins and have a go with that to see it it softens it enough to try and shift it with the credit card.

i haven't got round trying petrol yet but i did use bug and tar remover..doesn't work as well. When u say leave it to stand for 3 mins do you mean pour boiling water over it or leave a hot mug over it?

Pour it over mate. smile At the very least, it should soften it enough for to try and get some purchase on it.
