Took facia off when I went to Peterborough, on Monday.

When replaced there was issue with volume, i.e. normal level (vol 15-20) produced liitle output, and only by turning up to max (30-35) faint output could be heard.

Thought I'd need new HU so spent 30 mins extracting HU (using knives) and was going to replace with old Blaupunkt I had lying around (but of course was scuppered as C-Bus changer wasn't compatible).

Thought I'd give Clarion one last try, and surprisingly it sprung back to life, albeit after being disconnected for about 1 hr it had lost all its settings. HU now working fine.

So, any ideas what had happened,& whether anyone else has had this experience?

Maybe the phone mute had somehow come on? (can't remember if it totally mutes or just lowers the volume)
