Very cool . Im after the Blitz SBC id3 also so I know now what it looks like in the ashtray. Do you have any pics of the finished gear lever or is that how you left it?

the gear lever has been left like that for ages now. I lost the cage that the gaiter attatches to and not got off my bum to get a replacement. will do that next week. Shamed me into it! the gaiter just sits over the whole lot and is hidden, so you will havew to use your inagination, haha. @yogi, yes i used plastic, Makralon (spelling) sheets, and used layers to build up the right thickness. if you want some i will cut some up and send it out to you.
think the apexi is a better controller period. the blitz in daylight is too dull for me. i do like the look of the new colour blitz controllers though, maybe a purchase coming up if i can find out if the case is the same dimension as before! suprised you noticed the window switch surround coding imho i thought it lifted the cabin drabness a little without going ott. horses for courses i suppose, and it is only a 1 min job to change to black again!

Right, got 10 mins free today so finally fitted the momo gaiter. Leather needs breaking in, but looks okay. Got the std length gaiter, and chopped 2-3 inches off. Think you could get away with momo's short version.
@ graham, will get my proper camera out for you and pm you the link to a wider angle.
@ coen, i would love to be able to mate but it was a nightmare for me as i am not great with my hands. To get it right it took me about a week, then got my mate to fine tune the filler work i did and spray it up for me. I can provide all the plastics and some pics though if anyone else wnts to tackle it! the other problemmate is that you need to repaint the ashtray after you have finished. I suppose it would be possible to make it up and just spray the inside on the ashtray, but one slip and a mark on the front would ruin all the hard work. I also need to have a blitz in my hand for the duration of the build, as it needs to be a perfect fit, and this is the only way to get it correct.
