Sent my 100000 mile smoking turbo off to Turbo Dynamics last week, and spoke to Mark I think yesterday. Anyway this is what was mentioned from what I can remember:
New Turbine Shaft Oversize bearings New seals etc etc Whatever else they would normally do.
He mentioned that Coupes tend to contaminate the oil?! Hence why they all go in the same way. Anyway, its about £270+ VAT so does that sound about right?
Ben (Seriously considering part-exing the car at the moment!)

By "oversize bearings" do they mean 360 degree thrust bearing? If so you will have a pretty solid turbo rebuild for that price, the 360 bearing will endure a bit more boost .

It could be worth speaking to Keith at Auto Integrale, Hybrid turbo with an exchange of your old one for around £500(or thereabouts). Same spec as the GTiR one that Barbz does/did. I suppose it depends of what plans you have in the future for tuning etc, just a thought..... Cheers, Mark

Changing to 360 degree bearings isnt that expensive, IIRC the cost of the hybrid is mainly due to changing the shaft/comp wheel and altering the housing to accommodate it.

Is it worth changing for just 360 bearings though or won't it make much difference?! I'd assume it'll last a bit longer, but no/little performance gains?! I haven't a scooby. Mark

You're right mark, it wont make any performance gain by itself but it will be more durable and allow you to run more boost if other mods allow it.
