Has any one tried out the new style flat wiper blades that are coming out on all the new cars?

Mine need replacing and was going to get some replacements but these look nicer.

Would definitely change over to the new style wipers. They clear the screen so much better than the standard ones.

I have them fitted - replacement units from Valeo

LOADS better at clearing the screen and much better at speed

they don't appear to start lifting until well over 120 (well, officer, I had to try in the interests of technical evaluation for the rest of the forum members )

I ordered the same ones from Ebay, the passenger side wiper doesn't fit the windscreen properly, and they are a bit 'flimsy' even for fusion blades. Still, for the price they do clear your screen better that standard wipers, and as mentioned above, they don't lift easily. Make sure you give them a good wiping down before putting them on as mine came covered in some silver gunk...

Mine are still good a couple of months on. I've no idea how long a standard pair last but as its not the most expensive item I don't care if they only last a year \:\)

Well mine arrived, and I fitted them today, but they clean an inch less than the standard ones I had on, especially bad on the driver's side.

They were 21" on the driver's side, but the one I took off the driver's side was 22".

So I took them off and have asked for a refund.

What has anybody else found?

Mine were fine I think, can't say I noticed any difference other than that they did a far better job of wiping \:\)

That silver gunk is actualy graphite which allows the wiper to work better with less friction for longer.

Just tuck some of these on and they seem pretty good.
I had some 1 year old bosch ones before and they're shaping up better than those.
To be honest i only bought them as i saw this post and through boredom at work i ended up buying them out of curiosty.

Fitted them & for £14 they are great!, only drawback is the passenger 19" doesn't fit onto the far n/s edge of the windscreen properly & they aint exactly quiet! - you would have thought they would be

But for that money I'm happy

can't beleive this post is still going \:D

Mine overlaps the windscreen by about 3-4mm nothing really. After having them on for 3 months still working very well and mine are not noisy, so ner ner! ;\)

Try polishing your screen to see if the noise goes.

I've had mine on for about 4 months, they don't work properly when Rain-X is on the windscreen, the passenger side doesn't fit properly, and TBH, they look crap with the 'anorexic' wiper arms, they just look so out of place....

Going to swap back to the normal wiper blades....
