haven't used toyos, but SP9000 were the first tyres I used on my coupe 6yrs ago.
I have to say that they were the best so far (compared to S03, Fulda Extremo/Carat (sp?), Firestone SZsomething rather )
Warning that was in Greek roads not renown for their grip, abrasiveness and overall quality

Are you sure they do these tyres still? I tried to find them again in the winter but I was told that they are out of production. Check the DOT # you don't want getting a 02-04 vintage tyre!

cheers

V.

I've had a few sets of them on my coupe so far. The traction and grip on these tyres is fantastic, even in the wet. But due to that very soft rubber they do wear out rather quickly. The biggest disadvantage of those tyres are IMHO the sidewalls. They are too flexible to my taste and can make steering a bit vague if you're pushing it.

I agree a 100%. the sidewalls on SP9000 and 9060 are too soft. You always need to overinflate them but on the rear they are pretty good.

I run SP9000s on my beetle cabrio (old shape) in 235/45R17 on the rear and Toyo T1Rs 205/45R17 on the front. Both very grippy indeed, puts most modern cars to shame round the twisties believe it or not (although it is polybushed with uprated ARBs and coilovers). I picked those tyres due to weight distribution for the car and it works really well.

I have some SP Sport 07s on my Stilo Abarth and they're actually pretty good too.

SP9060 are supposed to be better than the SP9000s but have not tried them
