O.K. after this post I have now decided that I am going to put a few mods on to replace the aging/failing standard parts, as it will only cost a couple of quid more than standard parts and make the car more interesting to potential buys when I come to sell her in a few years (well that's what I'm telling the GF wink ).

So here's my list of what I think I need, have I misses anything that will complement these mods? All this work will be done by Rog in early October.

Health check
GT28r turbo
Helix organic clutch
P.A. FMIC
BlueFlame exhaust incl. sport cat
Blitz Id3 boost controller
Walbro fuel pump & wiring mod
Gtech chip (it's going to be put on the rollers in early November)
Full service with Motul 300V Competition 15w-50 oil.
Aux belt change
Short shift kit if anyone has a spare?

I'm not looking at brake and suspension mods this year (I already have 3G discs with good pads, Toyo tyres all round and my suspension currently fells good). I'm thinking this should have me set for a strong, RELIABLE 300bhp & 280lbs?

The only thing I can think of to complement that list would be a straight induction pipe but other than that it is pretty much spot on. Also if you haven't already, you might want to upgrade your dump valve.

Thanks Easy.

I was thinking about the BOV. The 006 is the one that doesn't make a noise and is highly recommended isn't it?

To be honest I'm one of these people who think that performance filtering is asking for trouble and I'm interested to find out what the coupé can do without sacrificing the air filtering. I can't think of many moded coupé that have retained the std filter. Is there any, has this been tried and tested and THAT'S why no one keeps it?

I know the list can go on forever but I just wanted to know if I've missed any of the essentials.

3.8 FPR is that really necessary for my set up?

I'm only looking at sorting the engine out this year so no need for HIDs.

Hmmmm the only way to find out would be to get the fueling checked. I run a 3.8 FPR and she does over fuel 'slightly' but I'd rather that than under fuel... sick

if you currently have a std turbo and plan to upgrade to a GT, you'll need another downpipe or an adapter...
i.e. add some £ 100-150 to your list..

The downpipe depends on whether the Blueflame is turbo back or not, it doesn't state that in the original list.

I wouldn't fit a 3.8 fpr unless you're going for a re-map at the same time of fitting.

Just make sure you get on a RR pretty soon after fitting all that stuff, you wouldn't want anything going wrong after fitting that lot for the sake of £50 on a RR.

Yes it's a full BF exhaust and I know I need an adaptor.

It's going on the rollers less than a month after the work has been done.

I'll get the FPR if the rollers say it's not fueling wright and get it mapped at the same time.

I think I'll get a Forge 006 DV.

I should/could be putting on a new inlet manifold and exhaust manifold. Is there anything I could do to these before fitting?

You could get the exhaust manifold matched to the head?! It basically ports out the exhaust to make the holes slightly bigger allowing a better flow to the manifold after the engine.

DV006 is a good choice too.

Thanks. I thought it was something like that. Any ideas where I might get this done and how much it would cost?

Barbz used to do it, but I don't know what Torque Italia are up to now.

If you have have the manifold yourself, you can DIY it with a manifold gasket to grind away the manifold to match the holes on the gasket.

I don't know if Rog @ PowerFiat does that sort of thing or not, but I'd imagine he'd know someone who could.

Cost is about £150 through Torque Italia, not sure about anyone else.

Cheers,

Mark
