I've recently put a returnable deposit down on 20V Coupe, reg no. P757 UGS, subject to having a test drive and doing all the checks. The guy that owns the garage says it's one of the best he's seen but when do they not say that?! Just wondered if anyone on the forum knew of it or any info on it. I'd appreciate opinions also as I'm new to the Coupe.

Mileage seems very low. 37k from a 10 year old car. I would be very suspicous. Have you seen the receipts and stamps and what has been changed.

last time I looked at hillingdon, everything they were selling had intergalactic mileage. Don't get caught out, double check everything a be sure that 'low mileage' is really all you're after!

Thanks all, I'll make sure I give it a thorough check over. The garage has offered me a year's warranty for what that's worth so we'll see. I presume the ariel retracts when parked but, I agree, it looks pretty hideous. I don't think it's a deal breaker for me though.

Looks familiar. I saw a Red 20v Coupe for sale in Colchester this time last year with the same ridiculous aerial. Didn't have leather though and had 40k more miles.

Agreed. As I'm drawing up plans for a new stereo system (among other things ), a local well-respected installer said that was the best place for it and not to put a "bee-sting" one on the roof as it'd spoil the lines. Mind you he did say it'd be a flush mounted one that didn't protrude above the wing.

From experience, warranties aren't normally worth the paper they're written on. Is it me or does £3K sound a lot for a non-turbo?

The aerial is in the same place as the Alfa GTV's, but retracts down, so doesn't look so bad on them.

Jiggles, the number plate might be worth a little bit of money to someone that has a Peugeot-something worth considering if you need some cash back.

Does seem a bit overpriced though.

Also, check exactly what the warranty covers, as they aren't always as good as they seem.

that aerial... you guys sure its a real car and not an RC model

all well, personally the thing which has always put me off a dab radio is fitting an aerial. the aerial on that is so bad that a little plastic digital aerial in the same hole as that one would look amazing.

I had an Alfa GTV Spider with exactly the same aerial and it didn't bother me - I'll definitely change it though.

I'll make sure I don't pay the asking price for the car too.

Price is fair enough, if thats what you want, i carnt say thats at all expensive really.

There's plenty of cheaper ones around, for a reason.
