I am drumming up some interest in a group buy i am running.

Its for the BlueFlame system which i think is the ideal exhaust for a 2.0l 20vt.

2.75" flow without 3" drown.

Pop you interest down as i hope to get it moving quickly.

I also welcome others to post there oppinions on the BlueFlame exhaust system here for anyone not sure on the system. Both oppinions for and against so its fair. \:D

Get you names down in the Group Buy section

Have you seen my last GB post on the BlueFlame exhaust? Every question you can think of should be on there and its quite an entertaining read. \:P

Great exhaust, good price (great when you incl. the "race cat" ) but BlueFlames customer service is shocking. \:o \:mad\:

Now there's a shock. \:D

Good luck with this mate and if you're able to get a 3 inch downpipe as a GB, I'll probably be interested. \:\)

@H2yper..they make 70mm which is 2.75inch...3" causes lots of problems as the bend at the top of the down pipe is so tight, stealth are the only people i have seen successfull get a true 3" bend! but then you are looking at alot more money.

I know what Paul means, it's not easy getting a full 3" pipe straight off the turbo. That elbow is very angular it is not a full 3" as you can see the first piece is smaller. That said, you won't notice any real difference.

Well he's used 3.5" or something and bent it in such a way that its a 3" size all the way round, its just different shapes...

3" will be ok but the flexible becomes pretty large so a spring system is better. I always use a 2,5" downpipe (67mm inside) and a 63mm flexible (inside diameter) but then again it's a 16VT

I am interested. As far as i know my car has the original turbo. What are the MOT implications of de-catting the system?

Coincidentally, I was considering purchasing a Blueflame system, factory direct, through ebay yesterday and I asked them the same question. A guy named Dave replied saying that the car would fail>

No cat = MOT fail.

Whether you can find a garage that will ignore the fact is decatted is another matter.

Dont put decat on a standard turbo, or it will probably start smoking before long.

Prices are now confirmed on thread. Very cheap.

You can modify your cat into the blue flame system or buy a sports cat from blueflame.

You can run a decat on a standard turbo, i dont think you can say it will start smoking soon after. thats very dependant on milage of the turbo, condition and how hard its life has been. How ever you can say it will wear your turbo seals faster then if you haddened fitted a decat.

Lots of people run decats on standard turbos. its just ideally you would either have a 360degree thrust bearing or rollerbearing turbo.

a decat= mot failure.
