I seem to remember that someone had a third lap belt fitted to their coupe. Any ideas of whats involved and if the part if available from fiat ?

You can't. Legally the car is only a 4 seater, check your V5.

could you change the V5 if you did put a lap belt in?
might sound like a stupid question but one worth asking because i dont know!!

You can get a lap belt from a Fiat Punto or Bravo/a and bolt it in using the bolts for the other two belt clips.

My car is insured to carry 5 btw but rarely carries more than 2

Well, that's ok; you can put the bird in a cage and the cage in the boot. Sorted!

it would be interesting explaining to the local constabulary - honest guv - she started squarking, told me she wasn't a bird but i didn't believe her and put her back in the cage...... and i wouldnt be getting it for a while!
