Hey fellas,

well after several months of searching, I have finally bought a 20VT coupe! \:#

I ended up purchasing the car in Leeds and had a slightly nervous (paranoid!) drive back home to Cambridge, stopping several times to check the oil level, and thinking every tiny noise was something wrong with the car. Thankfully the car ran superbly and was a lot of fun on the 200 odd mile trip \:\)

Anyway just thought I'd say hello, and I suppose this gives me an excuse to show off my new motor...

And a big thanks to everyone on the forum, the amount of info on here was a huge help, don't know what I would've done without it!

Hi, it looks well tidy. \:#

Dont bother with the paranoia until something is obviously wrong, it's not worth it and you'll just end up seeing things that arent there. \:\)

thanks guys, yeah I think that is the best approach Matt. I'm already feeling much more relaxed, it passed its first big test which was to get me home on the 200 mile trip!

I'm absolutely loving this car, I keep on thinking of reasons to take it out for a spin.. think the Mrs is getting a bit jealous!

Welcome to the forum. It truly does look good in that picture \:#

just drive it and dont worry too much. Check the oil regularly though, but that means once a week not several times a day \:D I put 250 miles a week on mine and managed an extra 350 or so this weekend due to the big coop meet.

Yeah welcome - I'm sure I saw that one around up here, it's got a Sprint Blue brother with a similar plate that lives just up the road from where I used to.

LOL. No need to be paranoid; I've got thousands of pounds missing from my bank account that proves that the car is in fantastic condition. My mechanic can retire early based on the cash he has had out of me over the past 2 years.

In case you guys are wondering I sold Boosted7 the car and I'll miss it.

Boosted7, if that picture is of your driveway then I should have tried to get a bit more cash out of you! LOL.

Hi mate, yeah I'm not so paranoid now! But you know how it is for those first few miles in a new car...

just got my new tyres today from camskill.co.uk, very pleased with the price and speed of delivery. Getting them fitted on the weekend, can't wait!

Nah, the photo was taken at my parent's place, my driveway isn't so glamorous so I think the price was about right \:D
