I can do up to 300 miles on £50 of normal UL (pretty much all urban slow speeds). I assume you are using V power but you should be over half a tank for £40 as that is not far off 40 litres (or has V power got stupidly expensive?). IIRC the coupe has a 60l tank) and you only get 50 miles There must be a problem with your car!!!!! Assuming you get 35l, that's only 6.5mpg for 50 miles!!!!

runnin temps are always low unless im sittin in traffic for ages after giving it a load of right foot? Yeah i would say i get 50miles to a tenner max on urban. On a motorway she is a lot better, but the car seems to run well? When i had the camblet kit done at motormech he said it drove well. God im gettin way less mileage than you guys 300miles on 50quid, im only using standard unleaded

How low is low temps? If I give her an Italian drive then I'm very lucky to see 80 miles to £20 but I'm modded a bit so your coop is running rich.

Well you should be looking around the 80 mark on coolant anyway, if it's running lower than 70 then you'll need a new thermostat. That would explain the rich running. Or you've got a very heavy right foot.

Does V power not improve fuel consumption as well as performance in the 20vt?

Does V power not improve fuel consumption as well as performance in the 20vt? Possibly but to be honest I haven't/can't run 'normal' fuel for ages, in fact since I bought my coop over three years ago she's always been run on higher octane fuels.

where can i get a thermostat? i couldnt see one on alternative autos They do sell them though. I bought one from them at the end of August and it was only £25.99+VAT (Genuine Fiat part as well). Well worth doing as it will pay for itself pretty quickly when your fuel consumption improves. John

i put in 40 of standard unleaded and get about half a tank filled!? But that is from near empty.
I get 50 miles max for £10 if i go into the red. Seem to get a bit less for £20 at the pump it does about 180 miles, that isnt booting it either

I don't get what you're saying I get 50 miles max for £10 then Seem to get a bit less for £20 at the pump it does about 180 miles surely 180 miles on £20 is MORE than 50 miles on a tenner? Stop trying to work out part-tanks. Just fill it up until the pump clicks off, then drive it until the light comes on. You should be getting 275 - 325 miles from a standard Coupe's full tank, with mixed driving and the occasional blast. All motorway will see an easy 400 miles cruising at 70mph and a trackday will see less than 100 miles.

Exactly what I did for the Lakes meet Filled it up before I went, reset the clock to zero, done some mixed driving over the weekend. When the light came on, I'd done 350 miles
