Hi i fitted my temp sensor today. I fitted it just infront of the throttle housing and in the airflow. I ended up putting abit of silicone sealer on it to hold it in place.
When i first started it the temp was 13.7 degrees. When it was warm and i boosted abit it went upto 22 on boost and 19 idle at 0.8bar.
After some tazing around and quite alot of boosting on 1.05 bar it was at 29 degrees idle and when on boost in 3rd at 5500rpm it was at 32-33. Does this sound ok or is it abit high.
When i left the car off for 30mins and got back in the car and started it the temp was at 45 degrees and when i boosted abit it was dropping quite quickly to 35, then went off boost at 2000rpm tottling around it was sat at 40. After some more heavy right footing it dropped to 29 degrees idle and 32 on boost at 6k rpm
I think my sensor was getting abit of heat soak from somewhere. But i can say the boost temp wasn't ever higher then 32 degrees, don't know if this is ok or high, i hope its ok as i don't fancy buying another fmic

oh good good thats made me happier, since it changed it to 1.05 bar its come alive it is sooo much quicker and really pulls. At 0.8 bar it felt strangled.

hello, its' depend also the turbo efficency.
my specs are gt28Rs 086, at 1,5 bar peak, 1,2 redline, with aquamist + metanol, IC evo fm, with 10 degrees outside, i seen max 30 degree... the sensor is a spa gauge with dual egt, one used for low temp sensor, placed 50cm after IC outlet, 50 cm before throttle.

is normal to see also higher value near throttle. tghe oem sensor, checked by fiat tester, shown a difference from my sensor, of 15 degree more for the oem.

Thanks sounds like mines running ok then, tonight i wasn't getting any higher then 18 degrees, but is about 3 degrees outside and the car loves it.
Your running alot higher boost then me too, i think i am running my turbo on modest boost as it should be ok to 1.35 bar, and at the mo peak is 1.05bar going down too 0.8 bar at 6k (don't take it to redline much). Getting a boost controller soon so should be holding boost better then my prv.
