Hi

I believe the factory OEM fuel pump in the 16VT is a bosch unit

Does anyone know the part number of the factory pump and specs, I would like to look up the specs so that if I replace, I can onsell and to tell how much better the Walbro 255lph is

Thanks

Hi Paul,

the stock pump in alfa 155 QV & delta 2 HF is a Walbro AEF087

Right is the stock fuel pump:

No, i don't have the specs, i also had a look on the net but coulden't find anything. Maybe vas has them.

One thing i can tell is after upgrading the car runs richer on full boost/top end so it does make sense upgrading.

rule of thumb is 5cc/hp. By that it will provide 366hp @ 3 bar. In reality you'll never get that much power because the injectors would be injecting all the fuel the pump could proved, hence no pressure. Safe limit would be much less than 366hp, maybe 280-300? Its up to you how safe you want to be.

Thanks Steve, like you say at 366bhp there would be 0 fuel getting past the 4th injector (ie it would be using all the pump could supply) which in reality is impossble

Xavier - here is the link you were after, page has our pump - its a 9mb PDF but look on page 9, and it's night here now (monday though)

I made a mistake earlier it is 110l/h at 4bar - somewhere I got 3 bar

It is in the workshop manual AFAIK. I think it is 140lph@3 bar.

I followed Vas and got a Sard 265lph pump, similar to the Walbro, slightly better at higher pressures, but no concern about fakes (which are rampant in this part of the world)
