I don't imagine its a technical problem per say but just how the car is generally.

When starting from cold the gearbox is a real big pain to get it into gear without a fight. Sorts itself out when warm. It just seems to be worse than I remember, possibly due to the weather and my bad memory.

Was going to get the gearbox oil changed next service but does anyone have any thoughts?

Yes, change to fully synthetic. The Silkolene that Oilman sells has made my gearbox far smoother \:D

Nick, it's also worth lubing the pivot points and linkages below the battery tray. Spray grease does the trick.

check your gearbox oil level aswel, you have a dip stick for it so no excuse ;\)
