Probably 1.2 bar'll be ok. But the only way to tell what will be safe on your car is to get it rolling roaded.

At this time of year you should be ok as it’s colder. At the RR they should listen out for det and be checking the fueling so should stop the run if anything sounds wrong.

I ran 1.2 bar on my car for a while with the standard cooler.

Hmmm. I run 1.3 bar max. I think Highwayman who had his car live mapped runs 1.35 bar and any more than that wasn't making him any extra power.

When you've got an fmic inplace, you might want to think about moving onto the gtech2. My car feels a lot better on it. But again, best to get it rolling roaded.

I'm half considering getting a Unichip but I've got 9 million other jobs need doing first so I dont think I'll have time before christmas to take advantage of the offer Fergie has set up. rolleyes

So now you need an FMIC, fuel pump and gtech 2?

let your bank balance recover then get them all at once, along with a RR smile

Yep, Matt is spot on with that comment wink . Perfect Touch optimised the power and decided that 1.35 bar was ideal for my car, which has quite a few mods including FMIC, SIP, etc.

On a GTIR (the car) its common to tune them for 1.1 bar boost. That is the sweet spot. They will run more boost but returns will deminish.

Thanks for all the feedback guys..

Yes Ross... I lost the war..morelike forced into it though! laugh

Hmmm ok...on the safe side this is what i will do once i get the GTir on..first i wil let it run at 0.8 to 1 bar just to play it safe because i don't have a front mount yet....then i'll go get the fueling checked (i'm actually quite worried about this because i'm getting mixed feedback about fuelling..some say they are ok..some say they are lean frown ) ..then when i've got the money, get the fmic and up my boost to 1.2 to 1.3 bar.

SOunds ok?
