Next year i'm going to get a ferry to Spain or the south of france and drive back up to the uk. You can go to santander in spain on the ferry for about £250. Has anyone done this? I'll allow about 10 days in total and have no plans except that the misses wants to go to Disneyland Paris at the end. I'd like to get some lovely scenary on the way through France and take in a little Spain. I was really after some advice on where to go. Does anyone have any cottages that they rent out or recommend? Going to get everything planned in the next couple of months so its booked nice and early. I'm not after anything really expensive and camping would be an option. Any advice/recommentadions much appreciated. Thanks guys and girls. Craig.

I'm planning a similar trip to Umbria next late spring with the coupe.I'll be driving from Brittany down through France and then across the alps to Italy. Any recommendations as to route/accomodation gratefully received.

I'd take the tunnel *every* time, and drive to where I want to be. Boats are a *silly* idea.

Very uneasy body of water, the channel and the Atlantic.
