Could somebody with a standard Plus (no kit, no suspension changes) take a couple of measurements for me please, as my car's at Carl's and in any case isn't in a state to provide these figures!
I need to know the height from the ground to the bottom of the lowest point on the front spoiler/lips, and also the distance from the centre of the front wheel to the front of the car.
It's all to do with storage locations and whether I can get the car up a certain ramp. Alternatively, if anyone has a standard Plus somewhere near West Malling in Kent and wouldn't mind popping round for 5 mins, that would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Easiest way is to measure the ramp. When we put the car transporter beds together we always work off a coupe as they are without doubt and its not just me who says it one of the most arkward cars to load. A 7 degree angle is the safest maximum we can get them up. We have to fabricate caps for the ramps to load them and any more than 7 degrees and the lower lash eye catches.

7 degrees? That's not a lot......which is a bugger because I've found a great place to keep the Coupe literally just round the corner from me, but the garage access looks fairly steep. I know a mate who used to have a TVR with the same garage problem and he built some ramps to reduce the entry angle - probably same sort of thing you're talking about, Carl. Will have to see if he still has them. Does it make any difference if you go in backwards, or does the front still catch anyway?

Yeh its more than you think at times though. Its when you come to the top of the ramp you need to worry about, as the front wheels come on the level the middle suffers As i say its the safest we could get away with. Backwards, we tried that. Makes it worse.

Cappo, I measured it, for what it's worth.
Distance from middle of hub to front of car is 1m.
Height from ground to lip is about 11-12cm.
Cheers, Hedge

Remember to allow about 2cm's for the lower lashing eye, its the lowest part.
