For those of you that remember, I bought Jintels car last year, he had already done some farely extensive modding to get to 275 bhp. But the next step was for a new turbo.

Well that went on today and now I am waiting for my remap to see the full results. But all I can say is WOW it is so much stronger already.

I hope to be in the 290 region now at 1.2 bar, but with Torque to match it.

Curent mods are:

Superspool
Greddy Profec II
Gtech II - hi fuel
3" straight through exhaust
Evo FMIC
Unichip
255 walbro

With the new turbo and boost control it now pulls all the way to red line and pull sreally string, had a play on the way home from Rogs with a Saab 93 Turbo and a BM 330 and it was great the pull the car had above 5,000. The car has no extra lag whatsoever and pulls cleanly from around the 2400 - 2500 mark in every gear.

The boost controller needs a little work on it, as I am losing some power towards the top end, but until I get RR'd and the fuelling spot on, I am happy with this anyway. My unichip remap is not for 3 weeks, But I will post up my results after that.

So for anyone tkinking of what turbo to get, I haven't driven any of the GT R/RS units, but this one is great

Also, for anyone thinking about the unichip route, Rog said my car was exceptionally strong pulling and put this down to the unichip too.

So more thanks to Rog for his hardwork and watch out for my RR results

The superspool is from Barbz and is a hybrid unit.

Difference from the GT28R, is it is a direct bolt on, I don't think you can get as much top end power nor hold as much top end boost. But then I am not interested in that, as I don't drive everywhere on the red line. I hope I will get 290 ish with a good torque figure too, but won't know until the RR.

There are a few people who have been running these for longer than me, Jimbo & JamesH IIRC

It is a great turbo, and pulls lovely. You can get great figures from this unit with a few extra mods. (look below)

Sorry to butt in, but interesting to note jamie3 using a prv, along with busa1300. How are you holding over 1.3bar with prv, is it modified? Or a different one to cosmographs?

No its not holding 1.3 at redline, but its not fare off that, it is the one from cosmograph, mine peaks at about 21 psi, but does drop back a little close to red line, im happy with it.

I dont have a superspool but a hybrid of sorts and have 2 people in aque for my turbo at the minute

I used to have it in my sig but i cant put all the letters in and sitting and playing with photoshop or even paint is too time consuming for me with work at the minute which is why my posts have dropped off as well

Yes, but mine is spanking new, with only 2,000 miles on it

Next time I will go for an upgraded unit

Thanks
My OE clutch is on 60k now so looks like I should budget in an uprated clutch along with turbo then.
