might be a stupid question but can you re map a standard ecu or do you have to change the ecu?

Short answer; yes you can remap it.

Do a search for "Perfect Touch" or Live Map.....or have a look in the rolling road section....there lots there.

the chip will need changing, but the Engine management unit control box will stay the same.
