Oil level The dip stick is hard to read. Do not twist it in, just dip it gently in and out to get a good reading and ensure you are on the flat with a cold engine. Be weary of dirty black oil. Black oil means the car is not being maintained properly but low oil is not necessarily a sign of a problem. 20v Turbos use 1 litre every 600 – 1000 miles. Have the oil changed
